There are currently so many soft toys on the market that it is difficult to know which is your best option.
Many of the big soft toy designers and manufacturers have gone by the wayside; Russ Berrie, the gorgeous Teddy Bear company ceased trading in December 31 2011 and Gund, famous for their catchphrase “Gotta Getta Gund” were sold to Enesco, where they sadly appeared to decline.
Our current crop of soft toy specialists include:
Moulin Roty, the exquisite French soft toy design company;
Noodoll, the relatively new London based company, supplying meticulous quality kawaii and emoji inspired soft toys and accessories;
Jellycat, another London based company, supplying quirky, endearing designs;
Moomin, whose origin dates back to 1946, who supply soft toys and literally hundreds of accessories worldwide;
Steiff are, of course, still producing their own wonderful brand of soft toys (teddy bears in particular), these are available worldwide;
Maileg, the beautiful Danish design company and
Little Dutch, the Dutch-born brand for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.
There are, of course, many others, Santoro Gorjuss have a wonderful range of soft toy dolls and accessories; Living Nature Toys and Aurora have some beautiful product designs but the above are, in our opinion, currently the best.
You will not be disappointed if you buy from any of these designers, some are more expensive and some have their very own design style which you may, or may not, quite like, but they are all quality items.
